Vivienne Westwood is a self titled luxury british brand, by Vivienne Westwood herself. It wasn't until 1965 where Westwood began a business partnership with Malcolm Mclaren where she marked the beginning of her experimentation with fashion design. Vivienne Westwood Anglomania is another collection from Westwood. She has consolidated her label since the late 1990s. In 1993 she diversified her collection to appeal to different audiences. The same year she commissioned her own tartan 'Mac Andreas' after her second husband for the Anglomania collection. This brand is less expensive, aimed at a more younger market, embracing the rebellious spirit from her early collections into this one, such as the pirate shirts from her 'Pirate's' Line which was presented at her first catwalk show in 1981. This collection is a perfect way to add some iconic westwood chic to your wardrobe.
Westwood was named British Designer of the year in both 1990 and 1991. In December 1992, she was awarded an OBE in recognition of her services to british fashion. With her use of quintessentially wools, tweeds, tartan and linens, it still continues to make her a byword for british style. Within the Anglomania line, its design is like a piece of fashion history. Known for its innovative, bold and unconventional products.
Through an extensive distribution network, Vivienne Westwood products are sold today in 86 countries throughout 5 continents, with over 20 lines of products. Show rooms are seen in London, Paris, Milan and Tokyo. Every fashion line has the famous orb logo either printed or stitched onto each of its items. This logo resembles one of the british crown jewels, that was created for the coronation of King Charles II. The jewelled aspect of the orb links Westwood's anchored position in the british fashion industry.
