After fleeing at the age of 17 to join the Marangoni Institute in Milan, the designer worked as a freelance illustrator for fashion magazines for a living. Barely three years later he started working for the great and late Gianni Versace - an experience that spanned six years. When Franco launched Moschino in 1983, he brought a new eccentricity that immediately captivated the fascination of magazines, celebrities and many great designers. Jean-Paul Gaultier later dubbed him the “fashion bad boy”.
The Moschino for men collection is not only about Franco's talent, but it is also his satirical statement on the state of the luxury men's fashion industry, using sarcastic slogans and flamboyant designs.
