Kenzo Takada of Himeji, Japan, started Kenzo in Paris in 1970 after graduating from Tokyo's famous Bunka Fashion College. He was one of the college's first male students, and since graduation, he has made a commitment to use his work to honour life and the natural environment that provides it to us. This is evident in his vibrant, colourful patterns and themes, which evoke nature's most formidable beasts. Many of the designs featured on men's Kenzo polo shirts, jeans, trousers and the wider collection use his famous tiger head logo.
This tiger head may be seen on much of the Kenzo for men collection, which blends the tiger's natural colours to create a bridge between the contemporary and natural worlds. The objective of men’s Kenzo has always been to achieve harmony between man and nature, and this design is an example of how he did so through fashion.
After Kenzo left the firm, Felipe Oliveira Baptista, a Portuguese designer, took over as creative director. The new logo, designed to celebrate the new chapter of the company while retaining its enthusiastic and nomadic spirit. Our edit of men’s Kenzo Polo Shirts feature a variety of designs including the iconic tiger crest and Kenzo Sports logo.
