Maison Kitsuné is a multi-faceted label, founded in 2002 by Gildas Loac and Masaya Kuroki. The brand combines a fashion house, a music label, and coffee shops under the Kitsuné label with Maison Kitsuné encompassing the brands luxury menswear range. Since its inception, the men’s Maison Kitsuné collection has evolved organically increasing its international reach and amassing a global fan base. The marriage of cultures is immediately evident in the brand name with "Maison" the French word for "home," combined with "Kitsuné" the Japanese word for "fox." The signature Fox logo is chosen to represent the brand perhaps due to its extremely adaptive nature and an enhanced sense of awareness and alertness.

Just as Maison Kitsuné adapts its repertoire based on the themes that inspire the designers. The fox has been the distinctive Maison Kitsuné's logo since its beginning, featuring prominently on many pieces within the men’s Maison Kitsuné collection. Maison Kitsuné was originally a music label but has established itself as a market leader in the world of men’s high fashion, combining classic American preppy aesthetics with Parisian chic.

The Maison Kitsuné for men collection has seen collaborations with Pierre Hardy, Oliver Peoples, Peter Jensen, and Shu Uemura, amongst others, and has boutiques in Paris, New York, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
