Kenzo is a French luxury designer brand founded by Kenzo Takada, a Japanese designer, in 1970. A few years before the brand was created, Kenzo set off on pursuit of his dream of being in the fashion industry, by moving to Paris in 1964. Here, Kenzo started to hand make women's clothing, and in 1983, started to create men's clothing. Kenzo has many successful lines, including fragrance & footwear, along with kids clothing and many more.
The inspiration of Kenzo's style came from the fusion of Japanese and Parisien culture, attracting many since the 70's. The main appeal towards the Kenzo brand of today, is the enlarged tiger head on the mens/womens & kids clothing range. As of recently, Kenzo have started to use various other designs, such as the eye, and all over prints.
Since 1999, Kenzo himself has retired as a designer for his brand, and is now being run by Humberto Leon and Carol Lim.
